Absolutely. We follow a 100% sterilization protocol using an autoclave, ultrasonic cleaner, and UV sterilizer. All instruments are sealed in sterilization pouches. Medical waste is disposed in accordance with Pollution Control Board standards. Our clinic maintains electronic patient records in compliance with the Dental Council of India.
We are open Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. We are closed on Sundays. Our extended hours make us one of the most accessible dental clinics in Basaveshwaranagar.

Yes, Samhita Dental is fully wheelchair accessible. We are committed to making quality dental care available to all patients regardless of mobility.
We recommend visiting the dentist every 6 months for a routine checkup and professional cleaning. Regular visits help catch problems early, including cavities, gum disease, and even oral cancer screening. Prevention is always more affordable and comfortable than treatment.
During your first visit, the doctor will perform a thorough clinical examination, take X-rays if needed, discuss your dental concerns, and recommend a treatment plan. The consultation fee is just Rs. 200. You can expect the visit to last about 20-30 minutes.

Treatment Questions

Dental implants are titanium screws placed in the jawbone that serve as artificial tooth roots, topped with a natural-looking crown. They are the most permanent and effective solution for missing teeth with a 98% success rate at Samhita Dental. Dr. Sumukh, our MDS oral surgeon with Nobel Biocare Fellowship, specializes in implant procedures.
The implant screw itself can last a lifetime with proper care. The crown on top typically needs replacement every 10-15 years. Longevity depends on good oral hygiene, avoiding very hard foods, and regular 6-month checkups.
Most adults with adequate bone density are candidates for dental implants. Dr. Sumukh evaluates each case with digital X-rays. Even patients with bone loss may qualify through bone grafting or advanced implant techniques like basal or zygomatic implants. Book a consultation to find out if implants are right for you.
The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia, so you should not feel pain during placement. Post-operative discomfort is mild and managed with prescribed medication. Dr. Sumukh has 15+ years of experience ensuring comfortable, minimally invasive procedures.
Samhita Dental offers immediate implant placement where the implant can be placed on the same day as tooth extraction, significantly reducing total treatment time. This is not suitable for all cases; Dr. Sumukh will assess your eligibility during consultation.
Clear aligners are transparent, removable trays custom-fabricated using digital impressions that gradually shift your teeth into proper alignment. Samhita Dental has an in-house aligner milling machine, which means faster turnaround times and lower costs compared to other clinics.
The average treatment duration is approximately 10 months, depending on the complexity of your case. Mild cases can finish in as little as 6 months, while more severe cases may take longer. Dr. Anvitha will provide a precise timeline during your consultation.
Yes, for mild to moderate cases including crowding, spacing, and minor bite issues. Severe orthodontic problems may still require traditional braces. During consultation, Dr. Anvitha will recommend the best option for your specific case.
Yes! Unlike braces, aligners are removable. Simply take them out before eating and drinking (except water). This is one of the biggest advantages of clear aligners over traditional braces.
No. Modern root canal treatment at Samhita Dental is performed under local anaesthesia. Patients typically feel no pain during the procedure. Post-treatment soreness is mild and temporary, usually subsiding within 1-3 days.
A root canal typically takes approximately 1 hour per sitting and is usually completed in 2 appointments. The three phases are cleaning, filling, and crown placement.
A root canal treated tooth with a proper crown can last 10-15 years or longer with good oral hygiene and regular checkups. Some patients keep their treated teeth for a lifetime.
Digital Smile Design is a software-based technology that lets you preview your new smile before treatment begins. Samhita Dental uses this to plan smile makeovers, veneers, and cosmetic procedures, giving you a clear picture of the expected outcome.
The first dental visit should be by age 1 or when the first tooth appears, with regular checkups every 6 months after that. Samhita Dental offers fluoride application, sealants, habit-breaking appliances, and more for children in a gentle, child-friendly environment.
LANAP (Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure) is a minimally invasive laser-based alternative to traditional gum surgery. It involves less pain, faster healing, and no sutures. This advanced treatment is available at Samhita Dental for patients with gum disease.

Post-Treatment Care

Avoid chewing on the treated side until the permanent crown is placed. Take prescribed medications as directed. Avoid very hot or cold foods for 24-48 hours. Attend all follow-up appointments as scheduled for crown placement.
Brush twice daily, floss carefully around the implant, use an antibacterial mouthwash, avoid very hard foods, and attend regular checkups every 6 months. With proper care, the implant screw can last a lifetime.
Stick to soft foods for the first 48-72 hours: yogurt, soups, mashed potatoes, and smoothies. Avoid hot foods, spicy foods, and using a straw (the suction can dislodge the blood clot). Gradually return to your normal diet as healing progresses.
Remove aligners before eating and drinking (except water). Rinse them when removing. Clean daily with a soft toothbrush and lukewarm water. Store in the provided case when not wearing them. For best results, wear your aligners for 20-22 hours per day.
For most procedures (fillings, cleanings, root canals), you can return the same day. After extractions, rest for 24 hours. After implant surgery, rest for 1-2 days. After gum surgery, rest for 2-3 days. We will provide specific guidance based on your treatment.
Mild discomfort is normal after most dental procedures and usually subsides within 1-3 days. Take prescribed pain medication as directed. If pain is severe, persistent, or accompanied by swelling or fever, call us immediately at 9886809202.
Initial healing takes 1-2 weeks. Complete osseointegration (the implant fusing with bone) takes 3-6 months, during which time a temporary crown is placed. Recovery timelines vary by individual; Dr. Sumukh will provide a personalized timeline.
Yes, follow-up appointments are essential to monitor healing and ensure treatment success. Root canal patients need follow-up for crown placement. Implant patients require multiple follow-ups during healing. Aligner patients have checkups every 2-4 weeks. All patients should have routine checkups every 6 months.
